Welcome to the Village of Round Pond, Maine

Situated on the Pemaquid Peninsula, Round Pond is one of five villages that form Bristol, Maine. It grew from ship building, fishing and granite quarries. Our harbor continues to be a working one and boat building remains part of the village. As a quaint and welcoming village, Round Pond offers travelers a brief respite from their busy lives.

What to See in Round Pond
A short walk from Padebco’s dinghy dock and visitors will find five places dine. Visit Granite Hall, our general store, with books, gifts, penny candy and ice cream! Next to Granite Hall you will find antiques, a gallery and imports. See Round Pond’s tiny house before they became a trend!

Heading up the hill you’ll pass Round Pond Coffee, the Washington School and the Little Brown Church. The Washington School was a two-room school house used from 1885-1954 for grades 1-8; it’s now used for community events. Washington School events (lectures, game nights, etc.) are posted at the end of their driveway. The Little Brown Church (1863) hosts a summer concert series.
